Telecom flies, asset management booms but Wall Street drags down the European stock exchanges

The unfortunate opening of Wall Street USA penalizes the European Stock Exchanges which widen their losses in the wake of the American Stock Exchange (-0,5% for the Dow Jones at the opening). Sales mainly affect the markets of peripheral countries and are concentrated in the auto sector (with the exception of Fiat) and those linked to raw materials (mining, energy and utilities). If Lisbon and Madrid respectively drop 1,66% and 1,4%, Milan slips by 0,68% but pays above all for the fall in banking sector stocks (-4,6% Mps, -3,5. XNUMX% Bper). The Scottish unknown factor and the declarations of minister Schaeuble, according to which the president of the ECB Mario Draghi has run out of cartridges for him, also weigh.

Some industrial stocks such as Cnh (-3,5%) and Stm (-3%) were also down. On the other hand, Telecom Italia (+3%) remains on the shields, thanks to speculation on offers for Tim Brasil, and Fiat (+1,65% waiting to understand the moves on Ferrari). Finmeccanica gains 2% on rumors of a Chinese offer for Ansaldo Sts and Ansaldo Breda. In this regard, outside the Ftse Mib, Ansaldo Sts (+5,6%) is also rewarded for the indiscretions on the Chinese consortium Cnr Insigma.
