Vodafone presents Floome, the first breathalyzer in Europe able to measure the alcohol level through the smartphone. Floome is compatible with all smartphones equipped with an operating system iOS, Android and Windows: to use it, simply connect it to the standard audio jack port, just like a pair of headphones, it does not need batteries or to be recharged. Floome uses the same sensor commonly used by law enforcement, based on Vortex proprietary technology.
Through an app it is therefore possible set the parameters of weight, height, age, gender to obtain personalized results and an estimate of the time necessary for the body to burn off excess alcohol. Everlasting through the app it is possible to quickly contact the nearest or most convenient taxi service, find a place nearby to eat something or access a directory of trusted friends to get a lift home.
Floome arose from cCollaboration between Vodafone Italia and 2045 Tech, a young Italian startup that was able to take advantage of the Vodafone xone programme, the innovation accelerator of the telephony group, launched in California in 2011. Through Vodafone xone, the parent company aims to collect innovative initiatives and services and place them tested by the market thanks to the commercial strength of a company present in over 30 countries, while enriching the user experience of Vodafone customers all over the world.
Floome is already available exclusively at the Vodafone Italia flagship stores and in the accessories section of the Vodafone Italia eShop at promotional price of 49 euros.
