Vodafone launches hyperFibra: 1 gigabit per second

The upload speed also increases, reaching up to 200 megabits per second for the first time. The evolution of fiber is available to private customers, businesses and professionals in Milan, Bologna, Turin and Perugia.

Vodafone launches IperFibra, the first commercial offer in fiber up to 1 Gigabit per second in Italy. The offers are available for private customers, SMEs and professionals, thanks to Fiber to the Home (FttH) technology in the cities of Milan, Bologna, Turin and Perugia. It also increases the upload speed which for the first time in Italy reaches up to 200 Megabits per second.

Vodafone's IperFibra, on the one hand, can satisfy all the needs of using multiple services simultaneously, and allows you to stream up to 15 ultra HD videos in 4k, have a video conference, play online in maximum definition and responsiveness, all at the same time.

On the other, makes services such as video streaming, downloading large files, using cloud tools for document storage faster and more efficient: For example, you can download 57 songs in 2 seconds, 100 photos in 2 seconds, 1 HD movie in 16 seconds or share a 2 minute HD video in 3 seconds. And again, for companies it is possible to download 1GB of company email in 10 seconds, back up 1GB of data in 45 seconds, or download the 3D project of a 500MB entire house in 6 seconds. 

The networks that exceed the Gigabit per second, in which Vodafone is investing, favor the evolution of innovative applications, from virtual reality, to telemedicine applications, up to home automation. For the industrial world, the 1 Gigabit per second connection favors process automation and enables professionals to work in real time with cloud applications.

Vodafone Italia's fiber services are today available in 377 cities and reach around 10 million households and businesses. Vodafone has a commercial partnership with Open Fiber to bring fiber to the customer's home in up to 250 cities in Italy. After Milan, Bologna, Turin and Perugia, where IperFibra up to 1 Gigabit per second is already available, Bari, Cagliari, Catania, Florence, Genoa, Naples, Padua, Palermo and Venice will follow.

PRIVATE CUSTOMERS - Vodafone mobile customers can subscribe to the new IperFibra Family plan with IperFibra up to 1 Gigabit per second in promotion for 25 euros every 4 weeks by 15 November. The plan includes: unlimited Internet, unlimited calls to national landline and mobile numbers and unlimited calls to landline numbers in 40 international destinations and to mobile numbers in China, the USA and Canada, 3 months of Netflix and a SIM with 1GB in 4G for surfing immediately both at home and away. Furthermore, the new IperFibra plan is available with IperFibra up to 300 Megabits per second in promotion for 20 euros until 15 November with unlimited Internet, 3 months of Netflix and a 1GB 4G SIM card to surf immediately both at home and away .

BUSINESS CUSTOMERS – IperFibra is also arriving for the business world, with a download speed of up to 1 Gigabit per second and an upload speed of up to 200 Megabits per second.

For SMEs, the offer – which also includes a guaranteed minimum bandwidth of 78.5 Megabits per second, both for upload and download – is available for the Business Solution and Office Solution plans, adding 20 and 5 euros respectively to the cost of your plan . For professionals, IperFibra is already included for e.box plans with voice, data and fixed network, starting from 49,90 euros every 4 weeks (in promotion from 44,90 euros for the first 3 renewals) and for the plans of the Valore Lavoro family, starting from 34,90 euros every 4 weeks.

IperFibra is also available with the new Ready Business solutions dedicated to SMEs and professionals which, in addition to connectivity up to 1 Gigabit per second, provide dedicated digital solutions, depending on the market they belong to, from retail to tourism, up to the world of professionals and small artisans.

In addition to the 1 Gigabit per second IperFibre in the cities of Milan, Bologna, Turin and Perugia, Vodafone has recently launched the 1 Gigabit per second service in 8 Italian industrial districts thanks to its Fiber to the Home (FttH) network infrastructure. Furthermore, the Fiber to the Enterprise offer up to 10 Gigabits per second was extended to all SMEs.
