Vodafone's turning point towards total digitization passes through the electronic signature. On the other hand, paper contracts were the last bulwark that still resisted the complete computerization of the processes of selling products and services to the public. Thanks to this system, paper and its physical archives will disappear forever. Everything will be managed in digital format and stored on the Internet.

In addition to simplifying customer relations, with a halving of the time dedicated to signing contracts, the novelty introduced by Vodafone will be all to the benefit of the environment: the paper consumption will be drastically reduced and over 50 million leaves will be saved every year, the equivalent of a forest of hundreds of trees.

The electronic signature, not to be confused with digital signature (which consists of a guarantee of authenticity given by the addition of encrypted computer data) is nothing but one signature placed on an electronic tablet which reproduces, in digital format, the image of the signature of the person signing a contract. The "pad" supplied in Vodafone stores is then connected directly to the mobile telephone operator's systems, therefore, all the management of archiving and sending the copy of the contract to the customer takes place automatically.

Instead of the traditional duplicate signatures on paper forms, the signatory will then receive an email containing the encrypted document and your signature reproduced in digital format on the same document.

Vodafone will archive all contracts in compliance with the legislation on privacy and the security measures envisaged. At the moment they are already operational more than 1200 points of sale scattered throughout the Italian territory.
