Vodafone, phone calls and revenues are down

Lower usage by European customers caused organic service revenues to contract by 2,6% in the third quarter – Vodafone was impacted by lower calls from Spanish and Italian customers, a slowdown in Germany and the UK and of lower growth in emerging markets such as India.

Vodafone, phone calls and revenues are down

They keep slowing down the accounts of Vodafone. In the third fiscal quarter (ended in December) the British telephony giant posted revenues of 11,4 billion pounds. Lower usage by European customers resulted in a 2,6% contraction in organic service revenues. The decline marks an acceleration compared to the 1,4% drop in the second quarter and is greater than forecasts, which spoke of a 2,4% drop.

In particular, Vodafone was affected by the decrease in calls from Spanish and Italian customers, a slowdown in Germany and Great Britain and lower growth in emerging markets such as India. In any case, the group confirmed the free cash flow estimates for the year – revised downwards during the half-yearly report – and adjusted operating profit.
