Vivendi, yes to the group's spin-off. Bolloré: "Value for all shareholders". What happens now to the holding company's stock

The extraordinary general meeting of Vivendi has approved the spin-off of the group proposed by the holding company's boards, with Canal+, Havas and Louis Hachette group (the company that brings together the 66,53% stake of Lagardère and 100% of Prisma Media) being spun off and listed separately. The group led by Yannick Bolloré has decided to split Vivendi into four companies, with the radio and television branch Canal+ listed in London and headquartered in France, the advertising agency Havas which will be listed in Amsterdam, while the publishing branch Louis Hachette Group is listed on Euronext Growth in Paris. All shares will start trading next Monday.

Vivendi, whose assembly approved the various resolutions with over 90% of the votes, remains an investment holding with stakes in Tim (over 23%), Universal Music Group, Telefonica and Mediaset, in this case with 22,9% overall, no longer actively used for years.

With the spin-off of Vivendi into four companies, all individually listed, "value is created for all shareholders, not just one." This was stated by Yannick Bolloré, chairman of the supervisory board of Vivendi, during the extraordinary meeting of the French holding company that approved the operation by a very large majority.

Bolloré also confirmed that “very probably” the holding company's shares will be delisted from the main Cac 40 index of the Paris Stock Exchange, after the radio and television arm Canal+ is listed in London, the advertising agency Havas in Amsterdam and the publishing arm of Louis Hachette on Euronext in Paris, all starting next Monday.
