Vivendi, proposed to Agcom on Mediaset's share

The French group must comply with the Authority's resolution of last April which forbids maintaining shares above 9,9% in Telecom Italia and Mediaset at the same time.

Vivendi presented the new proposal to Agcom on Friday to comply with the Authority's resolution of last April, which forbids maintaining shares above 9,9% in Telecom Italia and Mediaset at the same time.

The documentation will be disclosed by Agcom officials, in particular by the head of the Infrastructure and Media Services Department Antonio Provenzano, on the occasion of the meeting of the Council of Commissioners scheduled for Wednesday.

The Authority's provision issued in April provides that within 12 months, i.e. April 2018, Vivendi will no longer be in the current situation (i.e. shareholder above 9,9% in both Telecom Italia and Mediaset) which led to the violation of radio and television regulations on the concentration between telecommunications and the media.
