VitignoItalia: preview in Naples with an eye to restarting and new business models

It promises to be a journey through the best wine production of fifteen Italian regions with an eye, however, not only on the best wines but also on their relationship with the territory, scrutinizing the economic potential of a tourist incentive policy.

The event that attracts enthusiasts from all over Italy to Naples returns with a positive look to the future. But if for the "mother" event it will be necessary to wait for 5-6-7 June 2022, enthusiasts and sector operators will have the opportunity for an interesting Preview on 30 November in the salons

of the Hotel Excelsior in via Partenope. Protagonists over 80 companies from all over the peninsula for over 500 labels available in tasting tables. It will be a journey, glass in hand, through the most noble terroirs, such as those of Piedmont and Tuscany, but without forgetting the large patrol from Trentino-Alto Adige and the most interesting wine realities of Piedmont, Lombardy, Tuscany, Veneto, Friuli- Venezia Giulia, Abruzzo, Umbria, Lazio, Emilia-Romagna, Liguria, Basilicata, Sicily and Puglia. The numerical dominance of Campania is natural, which will be able to count on the presence of 40 production realities, coming from the different territories that make up the region.

Preview VitignoItalia, as has been the tradition of recent years, will also feature important moments in addition to the tasting at the Excelsior. In fact, the solid partnership with UniCredit for the organization of the meeting between various players in the sector is confirmed. The topic of the Economics Forum will be "Wine and Tourism: transforming potential into opportunities for the enhancement of the territory". An extremely topical theme which will take place on the morning of Tuesday 30, at 11.30, in the Scarlatti Room of the Vesuvio Hotel, in via Partenope. Moderated by Leandro Sansone, Head of Territorial Development Sud UniCredit, the speaker's stage will include, among others, Nicola Caputo, Councilor for Agriculture of the Campania Region; Annalisa Areni, UniCredit South Regional Manager; Bruna Caira, Director of the Strada del Vino Nobile Montepulciano and the Flavors of the Valdichiana Senese; Giuseppe Festa, Director of the Wine Business Course at the University of Salerno and Scientific Coordinator of the Wine Tourism Observatory of the Città del Vino association. The central point of the meeting was the results of the research "Competitiveness and market scenarios for the wine supply chain according to the Agri4index Nomisma-UniCredit", illustrated by Denis Pantini, Head of Agri-Food at Wine Monitor Nomisma Spa.

"This year's edition of VitignoItalia is particularly important because it is dedicated to restarting - says Annalisa Areni, Regional Manager Sud UniCredit - for companies in the sector it is therefore important to think of new business models built on strategies medium-long term such as support for the supply chain, diversification of products and sales channels, innovation of production models. Companies will have to adapt quickly to changes and equip themselves to face a different world, in which foreign markets and the diversification of sources of financing represent a great opportunity. Like UniCredit, we work alongside sector operators to offer concrete solutions capable of responding to their needs".

Tastings for the public will be possible in two different segments: the first from 16.30 to 18.45, the second from 19.00 until closing, scheduled for 21.30.

It is exciting to be able to meet producers, operators and our public again - says Maurizio Teti, Director of VitignoItalia - We preferred to give up the possibility of organizing something in the past months and last year, always favoring the safety of our exhibitors and enthusiasts . We have never, not even for a moment, thought of breaking the principles that have always characterized VitignoItalia and which we will find again in this Preview". The afternoon, starting at 17.00, will feature 8 extraordinary wines from Campania, expressions of the 2007 vintage. A special event born from the collaboration with the Campania Region and dedicated to the memory of Lucio Mastroberardino, which will see the labels of Fontanavecchia, Galardi, Maffini , Mastroberardino, Montevetrano, Quintodecimo, Terredora and Villa Matilde, presented by the journalist Luciano Pignataro, for the occasion supported by Tommaso Luongo, AIS Delegate for the Campania region.
