Three days, with a busy program of meetings, tastings, presentations and workshops: over 250 companies coming from most interesting national wine territories, with a special focus dedicated to the production of Campania, the Salone dei Vini and Italian Vineyard Territories will be presented in Naples for VitignoItalia, scheduled from Sunday 5 June to Tuesday 7 June.

Are approximately 1500 labels for tasting for visitors who will flock to the Castel dell'Ovo, one of the most important Italian monuments, authentic symbol of the city, venue of the event for years.

An appointment that attracts wine lovers, not only Italians but also enthusiasts from various countries, who, in addition to the possibility of tasting the wide selection of wines from the exhibiting cellars, will also be offered the opportunity to participate meetings with some of the most prestigious Italian companiesand which rightfully belong to the elite of the wine scene: Umani Ronchi and his magical interpretations of Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi (Sunday 16.30pm); Frescobaldi with a selection of vintages from the iconic Tenuta Luce (Sunday 18.30pm); Marisa Cuomo with an extraordinary vertical of Fiorduva (Monday 15.30pm); the 13 companies of Historical Families with a horizontal of Amarone dedicated to 2011 (Monday 17.30); a journey on the slopes of Etna with the unmistakable Passopisciaro wines (Tuesday 15.30pm); a tasting of experimental wines presented by the Feudi di San Gregorio (Tuesday 17.15).

Campania aims at wine as an ambassador of territorial uniqueness

"The Campania of wine - explains the Councilor for Agriculture of the Campania Region, Nicola Caputo - will be the protagonist with over 200 labels, representing 110 regional wineries, an expression of multiple territorial microcosms and an extremely lively and constantly growing wine supply chain . An extraordinary opportunity to relaunch the sector at a national and international level, in the name of the direction traced by President De Luca and the program for the enhancement of the sector developed with the wine control room. We are working on the rationalization of the denominations to highlight the uniqueness of the consolidated productions and at the same time launch an important branding campaign, also in order to develop new wine tourism itineraries capable of combining the knowledge of flavors with that of the places of production, testimony of authenticity and beauty. Campania still has enormous potential and our wine too must become an ambassador of the uniqueness of our territory in the world”.

But VitignoItalia also confirms its nature as a "container" by hosting situations of the highest level. Like the award ceremony of 50 Top Rosé, a successful initiative of the 50Top brand, eagerly awaited by the increasingly numerous Pink Drink enthusiasts.

On Monday the Ais will organize the competition and the awarding of the "Best Sommelier Ais Campania", iFurthermore, “Italian Excellences” will be present with tasting tables from Lombardy, Veneto, Friuli Venezia Giulia, Umbria, Tuscany, Lazio, Campania, Puglia and Sicily.

For the first time yes they also open the doors to the world of extravergine, with a conference that will explore issues related to quality green gold (Tuesday 7 June, 17.30 pm, at the Vesuvio Hotel). A meeting to define critical issues and opportunities related to a product that finally seems ready for new paths in terms of marketing and communication.

Obviously VitignoItalia will also represent an important business moment which, especially in recent years, has become one of the assets of the Neapolitan event.
