The economic recovery is there but it is not enough. It is "conjunctural but reforms and innovation are needed to make it structural". This was said yesterday by the Governor of the Bank of Italy, Ignazio Visco, speaking at the CL meeting in Rimini.
Visco spurred the political class to resume the path of reforms and innovation, the only way to consolidate the recovery and make it more consistent, reducing the gap with the economies of the main European partners.
Visco also spoke on a very topical issue such as immigration, arguing that too much demagoguery is being done about it because in reality the immigrants who stop in Italy are fewer than you think, as most usually move in Germany.
