After the "School of wine" and the "Picnic in the Enoteca", the Enoteca Regionale dell'Albugnano in the province of Asti, proposes a new event to raise awareness of excellence of its territory. In fact, on Saturday 16 July there will be an "open door" event throughout the day (free admission from 11 to 20) entitled "Summer in Freisa", to best celebrate the Freisa, elected "Vine of the Year 2022" by the Piedmont Region. 

A unique opportunity to discover one of the symbolic wines of Piedmont, enjoying the cool air in the garden of the Enoteca, overlooking the magnificent landscape that can be admired from the village of Albugnano, defined as the "Balcony of Monferrato".

Discovering the thousand souls of a vine with 500 years of history

Numerous labels for tasting, from sparkling wines to still wines up to the livelier ones, accompanied by some producers who, starting from 17 to 20 pm, will guide the participants to discover the thousand souls of a vine with over 500 years of history.

The format of the day provides for the possibility of savor, at the cost of 10 euros, a "package" of 5 different types of Freisa, in pairing with local gastronomic specialities, choosing from the numerous labels also available for sale at the Enoteca, proposed by Cà del Prete companies, Cascina Gilli, La Montagnetta, Pianfiorito, Roggero Azienda Agricola, Stefano Rossotto, Tenuta Tamburnin, Terra e Gente and Terre dei Santi.

Furthermore, around 18.30 there will be space for the presentation of the June issue of the prestigious sector magazine Barolo & Co, in the presence of the director Giancarlo Montaldo and the editor-in-chief Teresa E. Baccini. An issue that dedicates a lot of space inside to the Monferrato Doc.

Inaugurated last May, the Enoteca Regionale dell'Albugnano aims to enhance the quality wines of the reference area, between the Turin hills and the north of Asti, but also the agro-food, organic and typical local products, as well as the vast heritage rural, cultural and artistic aspect of this enchanting area of ​​Piedmont, through the organization of events, tastings, picnics and other promotional initiatives.
