Vetrya: Summer School on robots, IoT, cryptocurrencies

Vetrya, Italian company active in the development of digital services, applications and broadband solutions, launches the Summer school. In collaboration with the Luca and Katia Tomassini Foundation, it promotes a training course intended for young graduates with both a three-year and a master's degree, aimed at developing professional figures ready to take up the challenge of innovation, within a reality that over the last few years has managed to stand out in the panorama of Italian companies.

To prove it there are numbers: in 2017 Vetrya improved all its financial parameters, among which above all a net profit of 2,41 million, up 48,9% compared to 2016 and an ebitda up 21,8% to 5,55 million . On the AIM, in one year, the stock recorded an increase of more than 20%.

But let's go back to the Summer School. The initiative was born within the Vetrya Academy, a school of innovation that seems to be inspired by the US Silicon Valley and as the company itself explains "it aims to develop training courses and research projects by offering refresher, specialization and design sessions, training professionals capable of responding adequately to the needs of the world of work in the era of Industry 4.0".

“Verya Academy – he commented Luca Tomassini, founder and president of Vetrya – wants to contribute to the evolution of the economic and entrepreneurial system of the group, starting from a monitoring of training needs and market development to plan quality training interventions, which prepare the best talents for professional insertion”.

“The Academy project – he declared Katia Sagrafena, general manager of Vetrya – represents the link between the Vetrya group and the social sector, through which to conceive and carry out research on the impact of digital innovation and social innovation interventions, in order to favor a systemic dialogue between all interested parties: schools, universities, companies, public administration, public and private bodies and institutions".

Let's get to the practical information: the courses will be held from 3 to 7 September at the Vetrya Corporate Campus in Orvieto. Five days in which lectures in the classroom will alternate with laboratory sessions in Vetrya's work environments, meetings with leaders of Italian and international innovation, guided tours of Orvieto and the surrounding area.

The skills that the 20 selected young people (maximum age 30) are called to develop include: Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning; Big Data Management; cloud computing; Internet of Things; Blockchains and Cryptocurrencies.
