Verona, Cattolica reopens Palazzo Realdi: it will be a hotel

In February 2020 it will reopen in the historic center of Verona Palazzo Realdi, the building where it was founded in 1896 Cattolica Insurance. The structure - purchased in 2018 by the Euripide real estate fund of the insurance company and managed by Finanziaria Internazionale SGR - dates back to the XNUMXth century and has been granted management to the international chain NH Hotel Group, which will make it a five-star hotel with 70 rooms. The renovation has enhanced the frescoes, paintings and various archaeological remains from the Roman and medieval periods, visible on the ground floor of the building.

“The hospitality sector has acquired increasing importance in the Cattolica Group's real estate portfolio – explains the general manager of Cattolica Immobiliare, Salvatore Ciccarello – The acquisition of Palazzo Realdi, now completely renovated, confirms our desire to develop this business segment, which we are already present in important squares for Italian tourism such as Rome, Milan and Bologna".

Mauro Sbroggiò, managing director of Finint Investments SGR, explains that "with this operation, the investments of the funds managed" by the company "in 5 and 4-star hotels in the main Italian cities exceed 400 million euros".
