Vente-privée.com: sales +23% in 2013 for the French e-commerce site

The French online sales site vente-privée.com has announced a new 23% increase in its sales in 2013, showing confidence for 2014 in particular as regards the travel sector.

The site, which offers its members the sale of products in the textile, culture and food sectors, with deductions from 40 to 70%, recorded a turnover of 1,6 billion euros during the year.

It has carried out 10,100 sales operations (+65%) with 70 million products sold and up to 150.000 parcels shipped every day, according to what Jacques-Antoine Granjon's group communicates in a press release.

The site now has more than 20 million members in the eight countries in which it operates and welcomes between 2,5 and 3 million visitors every day.

Vente-privée.com currently employs more than 2.000 people, twice as many as three years ago, and employed 624 people in 2013.

Despite fears of reduced consumption, Jacques-Antoine Granjon remains confident for 2014.

“We offer our members to buy branded products at exceptional prices making them satisfied; it is a good factor of resistance against the crisis”, adds Granjon.
