Venezuela: Maduro seizes factories

The situation is worsening in Venezuela. After yesterday ordering a state of emergency to protect Caracas from a phantom coup hatched by the United States, the president Nicolas Maduro ordered the seizure of all factories that have stopped production and the arrest of their owners.

Hugo Chavez's heir has also ordered unprecedented military maneuvers to prepare troops for a possible invasion or internal revolt. “We must take all measures to recover the productive capacity which is paralyzed by the bourgeoisie. Anyone who wants to stop production to sabotage the country should leave and those who have done so must be handcuffed and sent to prison,” said Maduro, whose resignation received 1,8 million signatures in a referendum.

Venezuela, the Country with the richest proven oil reserves, is on the verge of bankruptcy due to the low cost of oil and the insane management of the economy. Lastly, the working week for civil servants was reduced to two days due to electricity supply problems.
