Venice hosts the "Soft Power Conference" promoted by Rutelli

The second edition of the "Soft Power Conference" will be held in Venice on 30 and 31 August 2021, two days of meetings of the Club promoted by the former minister and Deputy Prime Minister Francesco Rutelli which will take place between the Cini Foundation and Ca' Foscari University

It is held at Venice on 30 and 31 August 2021 the second edition"Soft Power Conference”, two days of meetings of the Club promoted by Francesco Rutelli which will take place between the Cini Foundation and the Ca' Foscari University.

The program will address issues related to environmental transition and the role of culture for the recovery after the pandemic are central to our multilateral agenda". This is what the Prime Minister Mario Draghi writes in the message sent to the Soft Power Conference "

The objective of the second edition of the Conference is to explore the role and potential of a widespread Soft Power, with shared objectives. The current historical phase requires a visionary perspective on the world order and a commitment to values, ideals and projects based on Soft Power and open to the contribution of citizens, business organizations, academies and renewed supranational organizations. Club members share the urgency of soft power to channel the power of ideas into action, with concrete opportunities for local, national, transnational, international or global initiatives, projects, aggregations and campaigns.

Furthermore, in the cultural sphere, one month before the start of Expo and while the Venice International Film Festival is being inaugurated, it is announced that the "Author's Nights" review will be held in the Italy Pavilion at Expo Dubai, curated by the National Audiovisual and Digital Film Industries, ANICA. The weekly appointment with a carefully selected film from the boundless national heritage, both classic and contemporary, will punctuate the thematic narration also through tributes and celebrations, in harmony with the Pavilion's schedule of events. The President of ANICA Francesco Rutelli and Gian Luca Farinelli, Director of the Cineteca di Bologna and Artistic Director of "Notti d'Autore", illustrate the meaning and objectives of the review in two video messages.
