Venice, Generali opens Palazzo Cini to the public

Generali opens the Palazzo Cini house-museum in Venice to the public, in partnership with the Cini Foundation, offering for the fifth consecutive year the possibility of accessing the Palazzo which brings its collection of ancient and modern art into dialogue with contemporary proposals .

Palazzo Cini, which can be visited from 20 April to 19 November 2018, permanently exhibits the works of one of the most important private collectors of the Italian twentieth century, Vittorio Cini, and, until 17 September next, the exhibition "Architettura Immaginata", which highlights highlighting the richness of the Antonio Certani collection of the Giorgio Cini Foundation through the exhibition of 126 drawings. An opportunity to admire, for the first time, a selection of the collection that brings together many genres and numerous exponents of the famous Bolognese school from the sixteenth to the nineteenth century.

Generali is an institutional supporter of the Cini Foundation, with which it shares the commitment to access and promote culture. An example of this is the new system of video guides with touch technology, created in partnership, which will make it possible to get to know the site of the Foundation, on the Island of San Giorgio in Venice, of great historical, artistic and architectural value.

In Venice, since 2014 Generali has been supporting the reopening of Palazzo Cini in San Vio to the public, with the aim of sharing a unique heritage in the artistic sector.

“Generali is a historical partner of the Cini Foundation, an important interlocutor in the project for the promotion and preservation of the artistic, architectural and environmental heritage of Venice - said the President of the Generali Group, Gabriele Galateri di Genola - The reopening of the Palazzo is accompanied by the commitment of Assicurazioni Generali for the recent restoration of the Procuratie Vecchie and the Royal Gardens, headquarters of The Human Safety Net, with the aim of promoting and bringing the community closer to assets of exceptional artistic and cultural value".
