Venice closes the European Exhibition of Culture with over 10 visitors

Appointment for 2013, which after Berlin and Paris will be dedicated to London – Venice will therefore build a direct line with the English capital for the occasion – The next edition will develop strong collaborations with the network of Italian cities of art and culture and in this sense there have already been preliminary talks with the Florens Foundation in Florence.

Great success for Venice 2019 – European Exhibition of Culture which, in its completely renewed edition, closed the three days of events today, registering over 10 thousand visitors, of which 5 thousand only in the conference part.

The final day, which saw the journalist among the guests Gian Antonio Stella, the artistic director of Padiglione Zero Expo 2015 Davide rampello, the founder of Factum Arte Adam Lowe, the economists Mario Volpe e Veronica DeRomanis, the Financial Times columnist Ferdinand Giugliano, ended with the screening of the Lux Award-winning film “Io sono Li” by Andrea Segre.

Particularly successful, in this completely renewed format and with a new location, have met the sections Open Design Italy, which led to the Magazzini Ligabue 80 designer self-produced products from all over the world, e New digital technologies for culture which focused attention on new frontiers of cultural fruition, creative industries and tourism.

For the section Open Restorations, which always recorded the sold out (300 people visited six restoration sites, among the most innovative currently active in Venice, an extension to the metropolitan area level is already being planned, involving at least the provinces of Padua and Treviso as well.
 
“We knew it wouldn't be easy to revive an event like the Salone dei Beni Culturali – said the director Philibert Zovico – which in the past recorded heavy deficits, but thanks to a totally innovative formula, a large support network of entities and institutions throughout the Northeast, and numerous private sponsors, including Save and Grafica Veneta, and Gran supporters Moravia and Lago, we are satisfied with the result.

Clearly, as with all new initiatives, there is room for improvement and we will take this into account. But this edition has served to understand that we are going in the right direction, focusing on quality content and an international dimension. Next year we will relaunch by doubling the event».
