The Vernissage will be held Saturday 20 July at 18.00, on the Grand Canal, in front of Palazzo Ca' Vendramin Calergi. It will be the artists Helidon Xhixha e James Jack Braglia to present the installation “The Twin Bottles: Message in a Bottle”, two metal sculptures of about 4 meters depicting two floating bottles, to raise awareness of the problem of pollution in the world's seas. Art as direct and provocative denunciation, a direct but also very effective way to bring the message everywhere.
Xhixha and Braglia also support the project TartaLove of Legambiente for the protection of sea turtles.
“The Twin Bottles: Message in a Bottle” it is a collateral event of the program dedicated to the Feast of the Redeemer. The works are exhibited in the Grand Canal in agreement with the City of Venice, Vela and AVM Holding.
There is a project http://www.venicetapwater.com (instagram #venicetapwater) aimed at informing and promoting the use of tap water (including fountains) to reduce the amount of plastic to be disposed of. It is an initiative linked to the facebook group VENEZIA PULITA
