Veneto Banca: ECB stop the sale of Banca Intermobiliare

With closed markets, the European Central Bank has notified the decision to block the sale of 51% of Banca Intermobiliare by Veneto Banca to a consortium of investors – Banca Intermobiliare's stock plummets in Piazza Affari, losing over 11%.

La European Central Bank he communicated his decision to block the operation yesterday with markets closed to the consortium of investors "giving the applicants the right to present observations by 19 June regarding the facts and charges on the basis of which the decision would be adopted".

The transaction for the sale of the majority stake in Banca Intermobiliare, finalized at the end of 2014, envisaged the payment of 289 million, equal to 3,6 euros per Bim share, and a subsequent takeover bid on the rest of the capital.

The group of investors (Gestinter SpA, Piovesana Holding SpA, MA.VA. ss, Duet BIM SA, Romed SpA, Pietro SpA, Castello ss, Luca Cordero di Montezemolo, Dad&Son srl, Pietro Boffa, Gianfranca Cullati, Serfin Servizi Finanziari, Alessandro federici, Valentina Nasi, Artex srl, MI.MO.SE. SpA, Fabio and Marta Viani, Mario Piantelli, Turati Investments and Italvalv srl) "reserves the right to evaluate the arguments made in support of what was notified by the European Central Bank and to take to defend one's rights".
