In October in the European Union the registrations of commercial vehicles have increased by8,1% on an annual basis, to 158.960 units. This was communicated by the Acea manufacturers' association, specifying that Italy was the only relevant market to suffer a contraction (-12,8%).
Conversely, increases were recorded in the other main EU countries: Germany +2,4%, France +4,3%, Spain +25,7% and the United Kingdom +27,2%.
In the first 10 months of 2013, European demand fell by 2,7%: France and Germany recorded almost similar trends (-5,8 and -5,9 respectively), while Italy recorded a well heavier (-15,7%). The United Kingdom (+9,6%) and Spain (+4,3%) are growing.
