Van Gogh, man and the earth in Milan: exhibition at Palazzo Reale of 47 works with an eye for Expo

An exhibition dedicated to "Van Gogh. Man and the earth" was inaugurated at the Palazzo Reale in Milan and will remain open until March 2015. The exhibition, made up of 47 canvases, highlights the artist's great bond with the peasant life in the dream of a lost nature. The exhibition is a path that looks at and anticipates the Expo

The exhibition on "Van Gogh. Man and the earth" opened in recent days at the Palazzo Reale in Milan which, in 47 canvases, paintings, drawings and letters, highlights the deep, almost religious bond between the great Dutch artist and the peasant world and its dream of a lost nature.

The red thread of the exhibition – man and the earth – somehow opens the way to the themes that will be at the center of the next edition of the Milan Expo scheduled for next year.

Kenko Kuma's staging also shows the fascination that Japan exerted on the aesthetics of Vincent Van Gogh, who was able to recreate, with his genius, man and the earth with its colours.

The exhibition will remain open until March 8, 2015.
