Valentino Rossi, appeal to CAS rejected: he will start last in Valencia

Nothing to do for Valentino Rossi. Despite the innocent campaign in favor of him, endorsed by new images and also by the same statements of the Sepang judges, the Court of Arbitration for Sport in Lausanne rejected the Yamaha rider's appeal, that the MotoGp world championship will therefore be played (for him it would be the tenth in his career, the eighth in the premier class) starting from the last place in the last and decisive Valencia Grand Prix next Sunday.

The CAS therefore confirmed the penalty of 3 points on the licence and the consequent relegation to the last position of the Valencia Grand Prix, inflicted by the race direction on the Yamaha rider after the Malaysian Grand Prix, when the "doctor" collided with his Honda rival Marc Marquez.

In the meantime, however, even the father of the great rival for the title has spoken out in favor of Valentino, that Jorge Lorenzo who has to make up for Rossi only 7 points: “There was no football – he commented speaking of the incident in Sepang between the Doctor and Marc Marquez -. Say what Marquez's telemetry will say, I don't believe in Honda. It was just a reflex di Rossi, his action deserved no sanction. I would have punished Marquez for breaking balls. If Rossi wins the title at 36 it will be impressive."
