Vaielettrico.it and Smartitaly: a new hub for e-mobility

Vaielettrico.it, the portal founded by Mauro Tedeschini, Massimo Degli Esposti and Andrea Prandi proposes a call aimed at startups that deal with e-mobility. The portal thus intends to create a hub dedicated to sustainable mobility. The crisis induced by the Coronavirus can generate “new behaviors, products and services able to better meet the needs of a transformed reality. Tomorrow's normality is therefore still to be defined. Starting with the way we move” explains the press release announcing the initiative.

Vaielettrico.it's appeal, the note continues, "is addressed to small businesses and realities that have valid e-mobility projects in hand, but need strategic and economic support to make their ideas concrete". The new electric hub aims to place startups in a network of institutions, associations and companies, of which Vaielettrico.it has become a point of reference. The portal will be supported by the Smartitaly communication agency which will coordinate a group of business angels and investors to select the most promising proposals. The hub also has the intention of generating technological synergies with the large mobility companies, with a view to open innovation.

The premise from which the initiative starts is that the Covid-19 requires a rethinking of the traditional transport system. Starting from urban centres, where public transport, to avoid crowding, needs to be accompanied by compact vehicles, capable of guaranteeing rapid, tailor-made and safe travel. And with an eye to the environment. Green mobility is no longer a simple trend, but a necessity.

There are many initiatives in this direction. Like ME, a Brescia-based company that in a short time gained wide acceptance on the market with its electric moped. Or GoVolt, a sharing company that offers scooters and scooters that have now become part of the city scene in Milan and Verona. Then there are important startups that are studying various solutions for recharging: from the vehicle-to-vehicle scheme (Sharge Me), to the system for managing and booking refueling and complementary services (Ricarico), up to the wireless wallbox (Daze) .

The hope of Vaielettrico.it is therefore to collect many proposals in order to be able to give concrete help to the future protagonists of the sustainable revolution in mobility.
