Sicily is the first region of Italy to start the system online booking of the anticovid vaccine, prepared by the national commissioner structure for the pandemic emergency and created by Poste Italiane. Starting from 10.00 on Monday 8 February, in fact, Sicilian citizens over 80 years old, including all those belonging to the class of 1941, will be able to access to the form which will also be accessible through the website of the Sicilian Region, the siciliacoronavirus.it portal and all the websites of the companies of the regional health system.
In recent days, the IT technicians of the Health Department have completed the process of aligning information (between vaccination points in hospitals, vaccine availability and the Sicilian population) with the Poste Italiane database to allow for the preparation of booking slots. From Monday it will therefore be possible to access the online system which will allow you to choose the nearest Sicilian vaccination centre and then determine the appointment for the administration. For the reservation, in addition to the personal data, the system will also request the health card.
In addition to the online platform, it will be possible to book through a dedicated call centre, by calling toll free number 800.009.966 active from Monday to Friday from 9 to 18 (excluding Saturdays and holidays).

The regional government plans to start the first vaccinations on citizens over 80 from February 20, while the home campaign aimed at Sicilians - of this same target - who cannot reach the vaccination centers independently, will start from March XNUMX.
The platform, in addition to being a service for citizens, is a tool capable of supporting the activity of the vaccination centers through a 'dashboard', i.e. a data visualization and monitoring system, and a help desk dedicated to the operators of the Centres, also offering assistance in the storage and distribution of these drugs.

In Sicily, citizens who fall within this phase of the over 80 target there are about 320 thousand. Remember that the vaccine is free.
