For those who stay in Rome, the hot summer could prove difficult to live. Fortunately, the National Museum of XXI Century Arts promises to be a good refuge: in fact, throughout the month of August the doors of twelve exhibitions set up in the Roman art gallery will open – on Thursdays even until 22.00 pm – with a special discount , a single ticket of seven euros. The museum will also remain open on Wednesday 15 August.

The exhibitions included in the promotion embrace African art with the African Metroplis and Road to Justice exhibitions, thearchitecture told by Bruno Zevi, the works of the finalists of the MAXXI BVLGARI Prize, the discovery of Tel Aviv, the white city, among other exhibitions. The hashtag #estatealMAXXI was also launched by the museum.

The invitation to MAXXI is open to all and above all has the aim of presenting a large number of works that show the vitality of the artistic scene of a continent closely linked to Europe, outside of any stereotype, between memory, identity , present and future in the African Metropolis exhibitions. An imaginary city (until November 4) and road to justice (until October 14); installations by MAXXI BVLGARI Prize finalists Talia Chetrit, Invernomuto and Diego Marcon (until 4 November) and retraces over 50 years of Italian architectural history – which is also civil and political history – in Zevi's architects (until September 23). Furthermore, visitors will be able to discover the Bauhaus architecture of Tel Aviv, the White City (until 2 September), immerse themselves in the sound universe of Nico Vascellari. Revenge (until 9 September), visit The Place to Be, the exhibition dedicated to the Permanent Collection which will be the protagonist of a new installation in the autumn and relax and cool off in the shade of Green Gallery, the winning installation of YAP Rome @ MAXXI ( until 21 October), a green oasis in the museum square.

Furthermore, among the special projects it will be possible to visit: the dialogue between ancient art and contemporary art with La Velata by Antonio Corradini and VB74 by Vanessa Beecroft, an integral part of the Eco and Narciso exhibition at Palazzo Barberini (until 28 October); the history and evolution of Italian sound art told in When Sound Becomes Form (until 28 October); the video gallery of the museum with the exhibition dedicated to Jonathas De Andrade (until 2 September), the projects of the Turin group NESXT protagonist of the new edition of The Independent. Caline Aoun (from 28 September), Paolo Pellegrin (from 7 November), Zerocalcare (from 10 November), Michele De Lucchi and Paolo Portoghesi (from 7 December).

Group exhibitions include the San Patrignano Collection (from 26 September), Low Form. Imaginations and Visions in the Age of Artificial Intelligence (from 20 October), the new installation of the MAXXI Collection (from 21 November), and La Strada. Where the world is created (from 7 December).
