Utility manager, third Assium convention: the focus is on building skills and the fight against illicit telemarketing

Third convention of Assium at Kilometro Rosso at the Confindustria Auditorium in Bergamo and a new opportunity to talk about community and building skills. It is no coincidence that the common thread of the event is: “Unity is strength. Together towards the future”, a sort of rallying call for all the forces, both of the operators in the sector and those of the end customers, to fight illicit telemarketing.

Assium is the largest association in Italy that groups together Certified Utility Managers and can only underline the importance of the professional certification training of Utility Managers according to the UNI 11782 standard of 2020. Among the speakers there are - in addition to the President of Assium Federico Bevilacqua - Federico Chiarini, of the Young Entrepreneurs Group of Assolombarda, therefore the CEO of Isaf Group and Anselmo Group, Uberto Selvatico, the Technical Director of Acque Bresciane, Ettore Acerbis, the spokesperson of ARTE Diego Pellegrino, the Managing Director and Vice President of Assocontact Luca Scarabosio, and finally the M&A Director – Trasporti Romagna Spa Roberto Bressan.

Connecting from Rome is the President of Codacons Gianluca di Ascenzo, while other interventions on innovation, sustainability, diversity and equity come, in person and not, from Oscar di Montigny, expert in Innovative Marketing, Relational Communication and Corporate Education, Daniele Viganò , writer and international speaker, Paolo Mutinelli of Eolo, Giuseppe Sini of Retelit, Giuseppe Dell'Acqua Brunone of Revoluce, Luigi Gabriele of Consumerismo, Janko Peneff of Dompé farmaceutici, Vincenzo Campa of Enegan SpA and Leonardo Papagni of AssoCall-Confcommercio.

Opening the event and welcoming the audience were the two moderators of the event: the economics and finance expert Alessandro Plateroti, TG4 and Radio24 columnist, Director of Newsmondo.it and Francesca Favotto, Vanity Fair journalist, communication expert and coach. The central theme is that of the Utility Manager as key to solving incorrect practices. The right direction – all the speakers say in unison – is that of competence and professionalism, but above all that of joining forces.

The fight against wild telemarketing also involves increasing the professionalism of call center resources, this is what emerges from the speeches during the event. There certification of skills – furthermore – it is the way to enhance professionalism, but also to give transparency and trust to those who relate to the certified utility manager. Unfortunately – it is underlined in one of the last interventions – we must consider the advantage that i illegal call centers have over all the other players in the sector: by buying utilities from the black market and not having responsibility for user consent, their impunity is almost certain.

As in previous editions of the event, this year too Assium organized a themed contest. This time it is a puzzle made up of the tiles that each participant has attached to the panel next to the stage: the composition of the hands joined and clasped around the Assium logo, refer to the importance of being together to achieve the main and necessary objective to protect the sector: the establishment of the professional register of certified utility managers. Assium invites you to set in motion the virtuous circle of associations and to become part of the network by joining the Italian Utility Manager Association, because unity is always strength.

The conclusion of the meeting is entrusted to the words of Oscar di Montigny: “There is nothing but one community dimension, this is why it is very important to understand that unity is strength. The utility manager, especially if certified, is potentially a healthy and aware bearer of humanovability. He is a new figure in the corporate organizational landscape, and as such it is a unique opportunity: a person capable of being both innovative and necessarily sustainable at the same time. Addressing the audience of professionals and operators, he says: “The system must be broken and changed from within. The system in which you operate, you must change. Every single utility. Every single Mario Rossi."
