UMA is the acronym of Utility Manager Academy and is the first vertical training school that deals with
of the training and certification of the new ones Utility Manager, in accordance with UNI standard
11782:2020. Born in 2020 a Milano, has become the reference point for agents, brokers,
purchasing managers and market professionals also growing in terms of didactic offer and of users.

The draft expansion of the Utility Manager Academy provides for the involvement of consolidated realities on the national territory and will lead to the opening of 5 new locations locals. One of the objectives of the UMA is to accelerate the process of modernizing the sector through the training and certification of the skills of utility managers.

Almost two and a half years have passed since the publication of the UNI 11782:2020 standard - which officially establishes the responsibilities of the Utility Manager figure - and, in this large space of time, there have been numerous training projects that have seen the light, especially thanks todisclosure action of UNI and of Assium, bodies committed to protecting the market and citizens, through standardisation.

The Utility Manager Academy was among the first schools to believe in training as a valuable tool for renewing the utility management sector. The new locations UMA are found in Puglia, Sicily, Lombardy, Emilia Romagna and Tuscany. These are entrepreneurial realities active in the world of utilities, which have been encouraged and involved for their specific professionalism, placed at the service of the single shared objective of expanding and strengthening the network of certified agents.

The new training centers are located at the following companies active in the utility management sector:

  • We Energy, a company specialized in the supply of electricity and gas. With headquarters
    in splendid Bari, it also has operational offices in Sicily, Basilicata and Lombardy. A
    reality that with time and experience has become the point of reference in the sector
    of energy supply, by building a relationship with the customer
    based on trust.
  • PU Broker Sas instead has its registered office in Abruzzo, but it is an operational reality in
    all Italy. With over ten years of experience behind it, the company specializes
    in the management of disputes and disputes against operators in the fields of
    telephony, energy and gas.
  • Rebon is a company based in Tuscany, mainly active in the provinces of
    Florence and Pisa. It is a consulting firm for companies and individuals, which has
    its purpose is to create awareness in its customers in order to obtain i
    better benefits on the economic side, therefore of savings, and on ordinary management
    of utilities.
  • Assoben is the national association of energy brokers. The registered office is in Treviglio, in
    province of Bergamo, but also operates in Brescia and San Donà di Piave, in the province of
    Venice. Its purpose is to regulate the industry it has always believed
    “strongly wild.
  • GLserVIS Srl is a Tuscan entrepreneurial reality specialized in Electricity & Gas Utilities, Excise & VAT Recovery, Fixed Telephony and Internet, Energy Efficiency, Project Manager, Secondary Cost Management. It makes use of a team made up of the first certified Utility Managers in Italy.

The UMA project also provides for the possibility of apply to become a new location of Utility Manager Academy, if the requirements are met. The purpose of this project is to activate a capillary network of local training points capable of involving local professionals and giving them the opportunity to directly access centralized courses with programs studied in detail and compliant with the provisions of the UNI standard 11782:200.

Partnerships with Intertek e Accredia they allow you to deliver the courses and the certification exam directly online through the educational platform. At the moment it is already possible to access the basic training course, and soon I will be the same for i master. The basic course and the masters in the start-up phase are held by the director of the Academy and his teachers, who are constantly updated on the changes taking place in the energy and telecommunications markets.

Among the novelties of the coming months, it is also worth mentioning the first course – guide for calculating the tax credit, lasting one hour, in which the requirements to be able to request the tax credit will be explained, with explanations on the regulatory reference (law decrees, circulars and resolutions of the Revenue Agency for the creation of tax codes).
