Despite the drop in deposits, the banking group reported a 14,6% increase in profit - UnipolSai exceeds analysts' expectations and takes action in Piazza Affari.

Goes on file 2015 of Unipol, with a net profit of 579 million euros, up 14,6% compared to the previous year, and with deposits down to 16,476 billion, down 4,2% on an annual basis. The proposed dividend of the banking group, according to a note, will be 0,18 euros per share, against 0,17 euros in 2014.

For the insurance branch UnipolSai 2015 closed with a profit of 738 million euros, down 5,8% on an annual basis. The negative extraordinary tax item of 84 million weighs on the group's accounts, in addition to the 8,8% drop in funding. Funding is also down, down to 13,982 billion. For the year, the Bologna-based group expects to pay a dividend of 0,15 euros per share, against 0,175 euros in 2014.

The market reception for the accounts of Unipol and UnipolSai was, however, very positive. After the publication of the financial statements, better than expected, Unipolsai accelerated MY BAG, registering increases of more than 8% by mid-morning. More contained, but still significant, the recovery of Unipol, which marks increases of more than 3%.
