Sales of Chrysler Group in the United States are good: the Detroit giant, part of Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (Fca), recorded a 20% increase in registrations to 198.379 units from 165.552 in the same period last year, marking the best August since 2002 and 53rd consecutive month of sales increases.
As stated in the company's press release, the Chrysler, Jeep and Ram Truck brands were the driving force. It should be noted that sales of the Fiat brand in the United States fell by 20% in August. The decline is attributable to a recall involving replacement knee airbags on Fiat 500Ls in the United States and Canada.
