Day of mixed economic data for the United States. Between November 12 and 19, American workers who for the first time have applying for unemployment benefits they're back up after three weeks, even as layoffs are down. As reported by the US Department of Labor, the increase was 2.000 units, to 393.000, in line with analysts' expectations. The previous week's figure was revised up from 388.000 to 391.000.
On the front of durable goods, on the other hand, the request recorded a further drop in October (-0,7%), to 197,68 billion dollars, after the 1,5 percent decline in September. In this case, analysts had expected a decline of 1,5%.
Also in October, i personal income in the United States they rose by 0,4%. The figure, released by the Commerce Department, is higher than estimates.
In the same period the personal expenses they rose 0,1%, after rising 0,7% in September. On an annual basis however, last month there was a positive change of 2,7%. Finally, with consumption growing less than income the savings rate it grew from 3,3% to 3,5% of disposable income (i.e. after tax).
