US squeezed on 2.500 Nicaraguan immigrants

Stop to the protection program for 2.500 immigrants from Nicaragua, who will now be repatriated - But above all the fate of 57 thousand immigrants from Honduras and 250 thousand immigrants from Salvador and Haiti hangs in the balance - The president from Korea, on the nuclear crisis: "Everything solves".

New US tightening on immigration. President Donald Trump decided it from his trip to Asia (he is currently in Korea): the administration it will end the protection program for about 2.500 immigrants from Nicaragua, who will now have 14 months to leave the United States. For another 57 immigrants from Honduras with temporary residence status, the government has instead given itself another nine months of time, while 200 immigrants from El Salvador and 50 from Haiti whose permits expire are also waiting to know their fate early next year.

It all started last week, when US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson sent a letter to the Department of Homeland Security giving the green light for the new tightening. In practice, the Trump administration plans to remove the temporary protection status (TPS) to all immigrants from Central America and Haiti, areas no longer considered at risk. So green light to forced repatriations. Immigrants from Honduras and Haiti were included in the protection program after Hurricane Mitch, which killed 10 people in 1998.

US President Donald Trump, from Seoul, then intervened on the nuclear crisis in the area, due to the threat from North Korean neighbors: on Twitter expressed hope that tensions on the Korean peninsula could "be resolved, because everything is resolved". Speaking to the American and South Korean soldiers at the Camp Humphreys base, the tycoon added that he was "very impressed" by the organization found. In his first visit to Seoul, the White House tenant aims to finalize strategies to push North Korea to abandon nuclear ambitions and the development of ballistic missiles.
