Storm Sandy doesn't stop General Motors. Although the market was partially at a standstill in the last week of the month due to the cataclysm that hit the entire east coast of the United States, the automotive giant recorded a 4,7% increase in registrations in October to 195.764 units.

As stated in the note from the same US group, GM saw sales of the Chevrolet brand grow by 2,7% and those of Buick by 14,5%, Gmc's rose 6,2% and Cadillac's rose 14,5%. Retail sales are up 7%.
