US-Russia, will there be a thaw? Putin says he is “ready to talk to Trump” who confirms: “I think we will talk”. But peace is not surrender

With the return of Donald Trump the era of thaw between the White House begins USA and RussiaIt's too early to say but both Trump and the Russian President, Vladimir Putin yesterday they left open the prospect of a new international phase.

After attacking the NATO ("Today it is the only bloc in the world held together by rigid ideological dogmas and clichés"), the Russian tsar, speaking at the Valdai Club, said he considered Trump's initiative to end the conflict in Russia "worthy of attention". Ukraine and says he is “ready to resume contact” with Trump and other Western leaders. “I think we will talk,” Trump immediately responded.

Ending the war in Ukraine, started by the Russian aggression in Kiev, is everyone's dream, but at what price? If the medium-high pace means leaving the militarily occupied lands in Ukraine to the Russians, then that is not peace but unconditional surrender of the Ukrainians after their valiant resistance and thousands and thousands of deaths. The next few days will tell what the future will be in Ukraine and in the world but the Ukrainian president Zelensky he has more than one reason to be worried.
