Initial jobless claims in the United States fell to 330 last week, a five-year low, according to the Labor Department.
For the week ending January 18, new US jobless claims are dropped to 330 units, the lowest for 5 years, from 335 thousand of the previous week. This was announced by the US Department of Labor. The figure is much lower than analysts' expectations, equal to 355 units.
The average of the last four weeks has also dropped, to 351.750 units.
