Usa, record -5,7% mortgages for home purchases

No wonder Americans don't want to buy houses these days, amidst the uncertainty of a global economic slowdown and a national debt that citizens feel weighing on their shoulders. This is precisely what the data of Mortgage Bankers Associations (Mba) report, confirming the negative trend in the sector. The index of mortgage applications fell in the last week by 2,4% together with the index relating to refinancing applications which decreased by 1,7%. The collapse of mortgage applications for the effective purchase of a house weighs above all: the index fell by 5,7%. The home buying index hasn't been this low since December 1996.
