The energy component, in particular, marked an unexpected jump of 6,4 per cent in the period considered. The core index, according to government data, grew by 0,2 percent, a tenth more than expected. On an annual basis, producer prices increased by 2 percent in August, while the core component rose by 2,5 percent.
