The Labor Department said the producer price index rose 0,1% in June, up sharply from a 1% decline in May.
Today's indication turned out to be better than forecasts by analysts who had estimated a drop of 0,6%.
The "core" version, that is without the more volatile components such as food and energy, rose by 0,2%, in line with the May indication and with market expectations.
