In the first six months of the year Chrysler in the USA it sold 908.332 cars, 9% more than in the first half of 2012. “June marks the 39th consecutive month of growth for Chrysler Group, with seven of our models having set sales records – said Reid Bigland, managing director of the Dodge brand and head of American sales – The prospects for further growth in the car market remain unchanged”. Chrysler sales grew by 1% in June compared to the same period last year: this is the best June since 2007.
The Chrysler Group press release also states that 4.050 Fiats were sold in June, 1% more than 4.004 in the same period last year. In the first six months of the year, registrations grew by 4%, from 20.706 to 21.612 units. Sales of the new 500L model, which has a US base price of $19.100, totaled 541 cars.
