The US economy created 217.000 jobs in May, showing continued recovery after a harsh winter that froze growth. The US Bureau of Labor Statistics reported an unchanged 6,3 percent unemployment rate in May. The figure is better than the expectations of analysts who estimated an unemployment rate of 6,4 percent.
The American economy has also reached a symbolic milestone: it has once again surpassed the employment levels of before the great crisis of 2008, with 138,5 million workers.
