Usa: North Korea evaluates launch of mini-nukes

According to US intelligence, North Korea has managed to produce a miniaturized nuclear warhead, entering a new phase of its atomic program. The news, initially released by the Washington Post, was confirmed by a report from the Japanese defense ministry taken up by NBC. This is a key step - the experts explain - on the road that is leading Pyongyang to become a full-fledged nuclear power.

Not only that: North Korea is reportedly "evaluating" a plan to strike the US base in Guam, an island in the western Pacific Ocean, as reported by various international media citing military sources in Pyongyang. "Our missiles can hit the US base at any time - confirmed the official North Korean agency - Only Kim Jong-un's order is missing".

It is a response to the words of the American president, Donald Trump, who had threatened a response of "fire and fury, the likes of which the world has never seen", if North Korea "continues with the escalation of the nuclear threat". Republican Senator John McCaine criticized the number one in the White House: "I object to the president's words, because you have to be sure you can do what you say".

Meanwhile, according to Fox News, North Korea has loaded two anti-ship missiles on a patrol vessel. The deployment of the missiles, the first since 2014, was identified "by American spy satellites", writes the broadcaster. For their part, the Guam authorities say their territory is not at risk of a nuclear attack.
