US private sector employment increased by 114.000 in July. The figure has far exceeded the expectations of analysts who had instead predicted a growth of 100 thousand units. The May figure was revised down to 145.000 from an initial 157.000. The figures were released by Automated Data Processing (ADP), which publishes a monthly labor market report focusing on aggregate data from the private sector. Today's report is a preview of the official one to be released on Friday by the Department of Labor. The overall unemployment figure in the United States still stands at 9,2%.
