Usa: Case-Shiller -2,6% on an annual basis, the Chicago Fed index did well

Fluctuating data on the American recovery. While the US housing market bulletin indicates a 2,6% year-on-year drop in house prices, the Chicago Fed index, which measures the local manufacturing sector, grew by 2,4%.

The data Case Shiller on the American housing market fell by 2,6% compared to a year ago, after a collapse of the 3,5% in February. A figure that indicates a discrete trend towards stabilization of the sector.

Positive, however, the index of Chicago Fed which measures the trend of manufacturing activities in the local economic district, which recorded an increase of 2,4%.

For the index, this is a sign of a strong recovery after the 0,3% drop recorded in March.

During the month, the clear recovery of the auto sector which recorded a significant contribution to the performance of the index + 7,6 % compared to the previous month.

The data on consumer confidence, on the other hand, recorded a significant drop in May, from 68,7 in April in fact settles at 64,9 points.
