The US labor market improves, in the wake of the entire US economy. In fact, last week, the number of US workers who applied for unemployment benefits for the first time in the United States dropped by 8 to 287.
The data largely exceeded the forecasts of analysts, who expected an increase in requests to 297.000 units from 295 the previous week.
The four-week average was also down, more reliable as it is not subject to market fluctuations: down by 4.250 units to 294.750. The figure therefore remains below 300 thousand units, as has often happened in recent times. These are levels that have not been reached regularly since the first months of 2006.
