Unemployment claims continue to decline in the United States: according to data released by the Washington Department of Labor, weekly requests fell by 5 units to 359 in the week ending March 24th.

The figure is better than expectations, which instead envisaged an increase of 2 thousand units. The level of those enrolled in the unemployment lists thus fell to the lowest level since April 2008. As of March 17, continuous requests dropped by 41 units to 3.340.000. The number of requests as of March 17 has been revised to 364 from 348.
