A huge cyberattack affected the traffic of hundreds of websites, mainly for internet users on the east coast of the United States, including those of Twitter, Financial Times, Spotify, Reddit, e-Bay and The New York Times. The US media report it.
The blockage of some of the major websites caused by a hacker attack in the United States lasted about two hours, while traffic has now resumed regularly. This was announced by the Dyn company, whose servers have been targeted – it is explained – by computer pirates who have crashed the system causing an overload of traffic. Right now Twitter seems out of the game in Italy: from after 18 and for at least twenty minutes, until the moment in which we wrote, the social network seemed unreachable.
