A black man was killed by police officers in Houston, Texas, after this - according to the police version - had waved a gun also pointing it at the policemen. This was reported by local authorities in what is the third case of black people killed by the police force in a week.
It happened during the night in the south part of Houston where the agents noticed the gunman in the street who, to their request to put down the gun, responded first by waving it in the air and then at the policemen. The officers then opened fire, exploding several shots and killing the man.
The victim's name was Alva Braziel. The two officers are two veterans of the Houston Police, with 10 and 13 years of experience. An investigation has already been opened. Police also said the two officers wore "body cameras" that capture images of their actions, so it should be possible to verify whether or not Braziel pointed the gun at them.
The man's death comes in very hot days due to racial tension in the US, with the two black men killed in Louisiana and Minnesota and with the death of 5 Dallas police officers killed by a sniper.
