URBAN Photo Awards is one of the events of Trieste Photo Days – International Festival of Urban Photography, now in its ninth edition, scheduled from October 28th to November 6th.
Before the final announcement of the winners, scheduled Saturday 29 October 2022, in the Auditorium of the Revoltella Museum in Trieste, during the Trieste Photo Days festival, the selected photographers will have to pass two more 'rounds' (final, shortlist of finalists).
The selection concerns a shortlist of 2.800 photographers, over 10.000 images, 400 projects and 100 books
The jury is made up of big names in photography, such as Susan meiselas, Nino Best, Shobha, Alberto Prune, Gal Tibbon, Jerome Sessini, Manfred Bauman, Sandrine Hermand-Grisel.

There are three categories into which it is divided URBAN Photo Awards: Single photos, in the four thematic areas of Streets, People, Spaces, Creative, Projects & Portfolio e URBAN Book Award, dedicated to dummies, i.e. the drafts of photographic books.
The section Single photos Spaces the prize enters New buildings, promoted for the third year in a row in synergy with the Matrix4Design magazine and dedicated to contemporary architectural photography.
The prize pool is €23.000
And it includes the prizes made available by the Urban Photo Awards partners: Fujifilm Italia, Stroppa, Vitec Imaging Group (Manfrotto and JOBY) and PhotographyCourse.net.
The festival, conceived by dotART and Exhibit Around APS, presents itself as a creative container that brings together exhibitions of Italian and foreign artists, workshops, masterclasses, meetings.
Trieste Photo Days delves into all forms of photography, from street photography to urban photography, architecture, the study of the territory and social commitment thanks also to the projects launched on its platform www.exhibitaround.com.
