University of economics and finance: Harvard the best, Bocconi among the top 5 in Europe

In terms of economics and finance, the Anglo-Saxon universities remain the top, but the Milanese Bocconi continues in the wake of a prestigious and universally recognized tradition, and does not look bad at all: in the ranking released today by Qs, the undisputed international authority on university rankings, the The Italian university has in fact confirmed its 17th place in the world, like last year, while the primacy went to the US Harvard, ahead of MIT and the London School of Economics.

Bocconi is therefore in the top twenty economic universities on the planet, as it has been for years now, and together with Singapore (14th) it interrupts the US and British monopoly on the subject. Going into the specific disciplines, for finance and accounting, the University of Via Sarfatti is 21st, against 19th position last year. In Europe, however, Bocconi is fifth for economics, behind the British LSE, Cambridge, Oxford and Ucl and fourth for finance behind LSE (second overall behind the usual Harvard), Oxford and Cambridge.

For economy in the rankings there are also Bologna (between 51 and 100th place), Sapienza (101-150) and Ca' Foscari, Cattolica, the Universities of Milan, Padua, Siena, Rome-Tor Vergata and Trento (all between 151-200). For finance in the ranking there is also the University of Bologna, between 51st and 100th place.
