University of the South: go to the Intesa Sanpaolo fund

Intesa Sanpaolo is the financial partner of the European Investment Bank (EIB) for the StudioSì Fund, the zero-interest loan made available by the Ministry of University and Research at the start of the academic year 20/21. The loan – which has the purpose of supporting tuition fees and other out-of-pocket expenses connected to study (e.g. transport, accommodation, meals) – is aimed at graduates residing or studying in the South, does not require any guarantee, can reach a maximum of 50.000 euros and be repaid in a maximum of 20 years.

It is intended for students residing in eight target regions of the PON project, Abruzzo, Basilicata, Calabria, Campania, Molise, Puglia, Sardinia and Sicily, who attend or will attend: the last two years of a single-cycle degree, master's degree courses , masters and specialization schools, at any Italian or foreign university. Students who reside in other regions of Italy and who want to attend a university or specialist school in southern Italy can also access the Fund.

Marco Morganti, Head of the Intesa Sanpaolo Impact Department commented: “Contributing to the dissemination of StudioSì means having Intesa Sanpaolo's positive experience recognized with per Merito. The student loan perfectly sums up our vision of an impact bank: equal conditions of access to credit for all students of all universities to shorten the social ladder, reward merit and responsibility and to support the category of citizens with the greatest needs and at the same time same time to higher potential".

StudioSì joins "per Merito", the loan launched by Intesa Sanpaolo in 2019 which has already disbursed 80 million euros in impact logic in favor of over 7.000 students enrolled in all tertiary education courses: three-year, specialist, master, AFAM , ITS, universities abroad and recently also doctorates.
